Adler University Motto Poster
In early spring 2025, with a rebrand in progress, I was asked to design an unbranded gift for the board of trustees.
Working closely with the AVP of Communications and Marketing, I designed this poster which was printed on textured, acid-free, art paper.
Non Nobus Solum Sed Omnibus.
I knew early on that I wanted to feature the university's motto, which appears on the seal. Though messaging pillars and the mission might change with the rebrand, the school seal and motto would remain the same. Non Nobus Solum Sed Omnibus. Not for ourselves alone, but for all.
I began with a couple different layouts featuring the motto and an image of Alfred Adler, the university's namesake.

Final Design
Being the stronger and more dynamic of the two, we chose to go with the version with paint splatter. However, the orange was too bright and jarring. It lacked a level of sophistication we wanted for a board gift. Looking through the library's archives, I found scans of Alfred Adler's correspondence with his student, Rudolf Dreikurs who founded the university.
I layered these within the paint splatters to create depth and texture.
The completed posters were a hit! We printed extras so leadership and program directors could also have a copy.
